The Critical Health and Racial Literacy training is for individuals serving the African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) clients in a healthcare setting.
To help bridge this critical gap, CO-CREATH developed an interactive eLearning course for healthcare providers as part of our CAPP 2.0 project.
This course will help healthcare providers understand and address the barriers ACB clients face when accessing services. Content is delivered through interactive eLearning and virtual simulations, and is divided into five modules:
- Social Determinants of Health and Critical Health Literacy
- Social Determinants of Health: HIV
- Critical Racial Literacy
- COVID-19 and HIV Syndemic
- Cultural Competence and Safety
The course is structured so that each module builds upon the knowledge gained in preceding modules. However, learners may have different objectives and context, so we encourage exploration of modules in the order that best suits individual needs.
Upon completion of all learning activities, participants will receive a certificate, acknowledging their achievement and commitment to advancing health equity within ACB communities
