Module 1 – The Social Determinants of Health and Critical Health Literacy

In this module you will be introduced to the experiences of people from the African, Caribbean, Black (ACB) community that relate to the barriers they face in accessing and receiving high-quality healthcare services. These barriers will be introduced as The Social Determinants of Health and explored through an intersectional lens. We will explore the role of service providers in reducing these barriers for ACB communities in their specific roles and organizations.
