The CRAIF Project
The CRAIF project explored infant feeding among HIV-positive Black women living in Ottawa (Canada), Miami (USA) and (Port Harcourt, Nigeria) The three-year project was funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) HIV/AIDS and STBBI Community-Based Research (CBR) Program.
Through the study, Dr. Etowa and her team examined the sociocultural factors of infant feeding practices among childbearing Black women living with HIV during the first year of infant’s life.
